Enjoy a delightful trip around Skanderborg Lake, feel the breeze of history, take a dip in the lake, and then head towards Denmark's highest point: Ejer Bjerge.
Bike ride approx. 37 km
This bike route takes you through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Lake Highlands – from lake shores to hilltops. The route is about 37 km long and combines gentle stretches around Skanderborg Lake with more hilly terrain near Ejer Hills.
Around the lake, the route is only slightly hilly and suitable for most cyclists. Along the way, you’ll find plenty of opportunities for both nature experiences and cultural stops. Visit the Skanderborg Bunkers and see the original Enigma machine, climb Fårbjerg for panoramic views, enjoy an ice cream at Skanderborg Lake Bath, or take a break with coffee and lake views at Vestermølle.
At Ejer Bavnehøj, you can – on a clear day – see all the way to the island of Samsø from the tower. There is also a kiosk, information boards, and great places to pause and relax in nature.
