
Julsø Tent Site
Julsø tent site has space for 12 overnight guests between two shelters and is located next to the beautiful Julsø lake.
At the Julsø campsite, there are two shelters with space for approximately 6 people each. The campsite has a compost toilet, a table and bench set, a fire pit, a grill and trash racks. There is no drinking water or firewood for the fire pits on the campsite. Bring your own firewood or find it on the forest floor. It is not allowed to saw or break branches from the trees on the campsite.
There is no vehicle access to the campsite. The nearest parking is at the end of Julsøvej, which is around 800 m from the campsite.
Book one of the shelters, which is to the right of the bridge here. The other shelter, which is to the left of the bridge, cannot be booked and is used on a first-come, first-served basis.
Hiking routes in connection with or close to the campsite:
- The Aarhus-Silkeborg route.
- The Himmelbjerg route.
- The heathland trail (starts at Himmelbjerg tower).
There is a small jetty at the campsite. In addition, Hotel Julsø is approximately 1 km from the site, where regular and tourist boats depart from.
