The town of Galten
In Galten, you can be active in the town's skatepark, play a round on a top-class mini golf course, enjoy nature, and go on a treasure hunt for the many sculptures the town is so rich in. And behind most of these experiences are passionate local enthusiasts.
Cultural Experiences in Galten:
In Galten, you’ll find a wide range of cultural offerings. You can, for example, enjoy free summer concerts at the Torvet in Galten from mid-June to the end of August, visit Galten Library, which often hosts exhibitions, children’s events, and creative workshops, enjoy a film screening, concert, lecture, or theater performance at BIO House, or explore the town and see the many sculptures. Since 2017, there have been sculpture town exhibitions in Galten, and there are now 32 permanent works throughout the town, including artworks by H.R.H. Prince Henrik. This is made possible thanks to the support of businesses, associations, citizens, and institutions – and not least the result of the large amount of voluntary work by a number of dedicated local residents.
Also, visit Galten Church, which received an artistic upgrade in 2014 with an altarpiece, altar cloth, and ten colorful stained-glass windows designed by Peter Brandes. The church is open during daytime hours.
Be Active in Galten:
In central Galten, at Bytoften square, you’ll find a state-of-the-art skatepark where children, teens, and the young at heart can enjoy skateboarding, BMX biking, scooters, or rollerblading. The 1,100 m² park was designed by award-winning skate designers Glifberg-Lykke.
You can also try the Galten-Skovby mountain bike trail, inaugurated in 2025. The 2 km family-friendly trail winds through Klankskov – perfect for beginners, experienced riders, and children alike. The route starts and ends at the entrance to the dog park.
Additionally, at Klank Sports Center, you’ll find a modern mini-golf course managed by Galten-Skovby Minigolf. Mini-golf here is for everyone, whether playing for fun or competitively. If you don’t have your own equipment, clubs and balls can be borrowed on-site.
